5 Powerful Steps To Stay Committed To Your Goals And Dreams

If you want to know the Secret to Becoming a Dream Achiever in every aspect of your life, you also need to know how to stay committed to your goals and dreams.

In this powerful guide I want to cover the five step process to help you stay committed to your goals and making your dreams come true, all while using the power of affirmation and intention to reprogram your thinking. Let’s jump right in.

Be Committed to Making Your Dreams a Reality.

Let me get this out of the way first – no one else is going to make your dreams come true for you.

Most of the things you want in life are going to be just outside your comfort zone and if you truly want them, it’s up to you to take the next step and put yourself into a slightly uncomfortable situation to make them happen.

You need to make a commitment to MAKING your dreams become a reality and form a plan that will lead you there. 

Once you create that plan, the next step is to FOLLOW it – put yourself in a position to succeed in everything you do – whether it is to lose a few pounds after the New Year or quit your day job or get out of debt and work entirely online within 6 months. 

We’ll cover more about how you can do this in the next six steps of this process, but know for now that this is the single most important thing you can do in your quest to make those dreams come true.

Self Reflection On What You Truly Want.

Over the years I’ve spent plenty of hours in self-reflection and one of the biggest differences I notice between myself and my former peers from High School is that I’ve always made a commitment to chasing my dreams – to make what I truly want from life come true.

Now, don’t get me wrong. A lot of those peers are in a very good place in their lives and are very happy.

I don’t mean to say that my life has gone better in any way, but over the course of the last few years, I’ve noticed that the former classmates of mine that are not happy tend to have one thing in common – they don’t strive to make those dreams come true with the same fervor I do.

I’m committed to doing everything I can to make my dreams and goals a reality and guess what? I’ve done it.

The big difference between planning to achieve and then chasing after your dreams and seeing them as something that “would be nice someday” is simple – it’s all about your confidence and ability to push forward when you honestly believe you can achieve your goals.

Power of Affirmations to Help You Stay Committed To Your Goals And Dreams.

The following affirmations or intentions are designed to help you establish and maintain the mindset needed to successfully commit yourself to making your dreams a reality.  Remember, 5 minutes a day for 90 days.

Please note these are "NOT" short affirmations like:

I. Am Committed to Making My Dreams a Reality
2. I Always Follow through on My Plans

Although, the above examples of affirmations work great too. But I am talking something different because here our main theme of discussion is "Commitment Toward Your Goals".

To commit 100% on anything faith is important and faith comes from setting intentions and repeating those intentions everyday 5 minutes a day for 90 days.

When we do this, we start to operate from a place of deep joy and connection to the Universe. THAT is when miracles happen.

#1. Get Super Clear On Your Dreams.

Before you do anything, you have to know what you want! Unless you know what you want you cannot develop the faith to stay committed to your goals and dreams.

Every morning or at night before bed for the next 90 days, I want you to set an intention for your morning meditation: I am ready to get clear on my deepest desires. Then, when your meditation is finished, write down everything that comes up for you.

#2. Have Faith in Yourself That You Can Make Your Dreams a Reality.

I know it can feel difficult to drown out thoughts of doubt and resistance. But believing in yourself means quieting that doubting voice (aka your ego!) and letting the voice of love and compassion come through instead.

Because when you believe in yourself, NOTHING can hold you back. 

#3. Take One Small Step in the Direction of Your Dream.

Sometimes, committing to your dream means taking just one teeny, TINY step in the right direction.

It’s okay if it feels like you aren’t really making tracks. It’s totally normal to want to make serious progress right out of the gate.

But I’m here to tell you that any action, even if it feels small, uncomfortable or challenging, will get you closer to what you most desire.

You just need to stay motivated enough to take one step at a time.

#4. Find a Mentor or Take a Course for Help.

As you commit to your dream and start to take action in the right direction, you will undoubtedly run into challenges or roadblocks that will threaten your commitment.

This is when it’s important to seek out support and guidance. Find a mentor or coach. Join an online or in-person community of like-minded people, or seek out other resources that will help you stay on course. 

I am telling this because it's important it's important to learn from the right people so that you don't lose your direction.

Rich people did not get rich with blind faith. They invested in themselves first, learned everything and got the necessary knowledge and guidance from the experts in there fields before they achieved greatness.

#5. Perseverance is Key to Make Your Dreams Come True.

To truly commit to your dreams, you have to bank on the road getting bumpy—and keep charging ahead anyway.

Perseverance in the face of obstacles not only helps you continue to take steps toward your goals, but also builds resilience and character.

Even when things don't go your way, I want you to understand that you were born to put in the work. Your dreams are worth the effort!
