Every day, you trade your life for those big dreams you have. Are the dreams you aspire to worth spending so many hours working, struggling through school or building a new business?

Will the fruits of your labor be such that you are happy with the time spent achieving them? To be successful with there are a few simple things I want you to understand first.

If you want to learn how to dream big and manifest all your goals and desires than you need to master these 4 fundamentals of a healthy mindset that will lay the foundation for everything you need to becoming rich and successful.

Fundamental 1 – Dare to Dream Big.

The absolute first thing I want you to do is think BIG, in other words dream big. Every person I meet with the talent and drive to succeed in life has this one thing in common – they think big and know what they want from life.

You can’t just dream big though; you must make a commitment to turn those dreams into reality.

Visualize yourself living the life of your dreams. This sounds so simple, but it’s really not. Imagine how many dreams you’ve abandoned along the way because they were never clearly thought out.

After all, if you don’t know where you’re going, it’s impossible to get where you want to be. When you sit down and figure out what you want to do in your life – and it may take a couple of days to figure that out – this is so much easier.

Here’s what I want you to ask yourself – what is the ideal way you could be spending a day of your life? When you take time to write that ideal day down, it is much more likely to happen than if you think vaguely to yourself, “I want good stuff to happen”.

So, sit down tonight and write the “ideal year of your life”. Once those ideals are written down, it is time to visualize them occurring.

Imagine yourself living that perfect life. There is a big difference between committing and just hoping something happens.

When you commit to making something happen, you do everything in your power to make sure it does. When you hope, you tend to give up easily. Hoping is like asking. You sit there and hope that somehow your dream comes true.

Commitment translates to success because you are willing to make it happen. Imagine a husband whose wife asks him to be home by 5:30. He could say “I’ll try” and then not feel any sort of guilt if it doesn’t happen or he could say “I will absolutely be home by 5:30. I will leave at 4:45 and it takes 30 minutes to drive home.

That leaves some leeway if anything happens in traffic.” Who is more likely to actually be home at 5:30 for his wife? Of course the husband who not only committed but visualized it happening.

Fundamental 2 – Your Thoughts Create Your Reality.

This is one of the key components of my transformation 10 years ago. I was a typical teenager, shy around girls, unsure of himself and completely lacking in confidence. But, then I discovered that I could make my life into whatever I wanted by thinking positive thoughts and using positive affirmations

The outside world closely mirrors what goes on inside someone’s mind. The power of your thoughts in terms of achieving your goals and creating the life you desire is incredible.

To truly understand the types of things that happen in someone’s life, consider the thoughts they have on a regular basis.

If someone regularly believes they will fail, they tend to fail a lot. If they are confident and willing to keep trying despite failure, they find success – they believe they can do it and so they do. It’s about having a strong self-belief system.

You need to know in your heart and mind that you are capable of anything you want to do in life. When you do that, nothing is unattainable.

But, if you believe you will always be an average wage winner, you will never make more than 5 figures. If you believe you cannot quite smoking, it will be hardest thing you ever do, and it may never happen.

It's like self-help you need to help yourself with your own positive thoughts to manifest your goals, dreams and desires.

Self-Fulfilling Prophecy.

Life becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy when you let it. The outside world reflects the very thoughts you unconsciously entertain.

And this sort of routine stops you from dreaming big and manifesting your goals and desires.

This concept applies to what you believe about the world as well. If you believe life is unfair and people are born into luck, you’ll never try hard to make something happen.

On the other hand, if it isn’t so complicated as all that, you’ll be ready to do anything no matter what’s required of you.

Here are just some of the self-fulfilling prophecies you’ve probably allowed to sneak into your mind recently:

  1. I can’t do this
  2. Oh that’s easy for you, but I could never do that
  3. I’m never going to get a great man or woman
  4. I’m too stupid to make a lot of money
  5. I don’t have what it takes to become a millionaire/finish school/get a raise
  6. I am afraid to try because I might fail
  7. I’ve tried to do XYZ and it just doesn’t work for me

But, it’s not the end of the world. These things don’t have to rule your thought patterns. What you believe about yourself can be reprogrammed but you need to actively work to do so. In simple words stop these kind of thoughts and start to dream big and manifest your goals.

Negative Thinking is a Bad Habit.

Negative thoughts don’t go away – they are there because you have a habit of thinking negative things. If you learn how to replace those negative thoughts with positive ones, life will be much easier.

We do that by learning to think positively. Self-awareness is a key first step, followed by positive self-talk that will slowly reprogram what you think and how you think it.

Henry Ford once said “If you think you can do a thing or think you can’t do a thing, you’re probably right.”

Millions of people think they can’t do things and they don’t even realize it, sabotaging their chances at success time and again simply because they’ve programmed themselves to assume failure is the only option. It’s all a bad habit. You’re doing it on auto pilot and you don’t even realize it.

This is a good thing though because it means you have the power to choose to think differently. You can think positive thoughts that nurture you, support you, motivate you and empower you.

You can be aware of the negative thoughts in your life. Stop and think about the last negative though you had. What did it sound like? Was it complex and free flowing or was it like a tape recording, slowly replaying again and again in your head?

Most negative self-talk is like that – it’s not conscious. It repeats because you programmed it into your thoughts.

To weed out these negative thoughts, all you need to do is learn to think positively. Instead of letting your brain take over, you’re learning how to think for yourself, consciously deciding how to think positively.

The Four Stages of Skill Learning To Help You Dream Big And Manifest Your Goals.

They say there are four definite stages to learning a new skill. These stages match up exactly with the process of replacing negative self-talk with positive talk. The four stages are:

  1. Unconscious Incompetence
  2. Consciously Incompetence
  3. Conscious Competence
  4. Unconsciously Competence

Right now, you are unconsciously making poor thought decisions. You think negatively about things that you don’t need to think negatively about.

What we want to do is slowly reprogram your brain to recognize those negative thoughts, then replace them with affirmations of positive thinking and finally get to the point where you start to feel good and think positively on autopilot.

It’s like learning how to drive a car. Before you start driving for the first time, you may not realize just how bad of a driver you are.

Yet, if you were to get behind the wheel, you’d probably stall the car or feel like you’re about to drive into a post. You’ve never done it before after all.

When you start driver’s education, you are suddenly aware of how little you know. This is a good step, but you still don’t know how to drive. Finally, you reach step three in which you are capable of driving.

However, you still need to think about the process. Check your mirrors. Adjust your seat. Check both ways. Count the distance to the next car.

These are all conscious thoughts (or at least they should be!) It isn’t until you reach the fourth stage, when you can drive unconsciously in a competent way that you have truly learned and mastered that new skill. But, it takes time. You won’t learn to drive overnight. You need to go to classes, practice and get used to the process.

The same is true for your positive thinking. You won’t be able to just flip a switch one day and learn how to think positively with affirmations about everything you do.

You need time to adjust and learn how to think in a new way. So, to help you get to that point, I want to share a rather amazing process I learned when I was just 16 years old to not only think positively but to program your mind to do so unconsciously

How the Mind Power Works.

It started when I ran across some tapes by John Keyhoe called Mind Power. I was only 16 years old and as I’ve said, I was not a social teenager. I was regularly stressed out, unsure of myself and upset about my place in the world.

But, that all changed when I started my mind power exercises. It was very simple. I created two short affirmations about myself – positive thoughts that I wanted to believe. Some examples include:

  • I am supremely self-confident
  • Every day in every way, I’m getting better, better, and better
  • I can make a lot of money whenever I want

These are great affirmations because most of us have negative thoughts associated with them.

Once you’ve analyzed your negative self-talk and found places where you’d like to improve, create affirmations that contradict those negative thoughts.

Then, I repeated each affirmation for 5 minutes a day for 90 days. It may sound simple, but trust me when I say that most people never finish the process.

It’s a lot harder than you expect, because it’s so easy to give up. Until those affirmations are programmed into your brain, you will struggle with them because they go against what you’ve been programmed to believe for so many years.

Now, you may be unaware that you think negatively about something until you think it. If you’ve never tried to swim in your life, you may not know that you feel unsure about your swimming ability.

So, sit down before you start writing your affirmations and think about the various aspects of your life.

Look for negativity you can target for removal and write down the negative thoughts you have.

Now, it’s time to find ways to counter them. Let’s say you want to focus on confidence in your life.

For 90 days you are going to tell yourself you are a supremely confident person.

Every day.

5 minutes.

Out loud.

Now, when this is done, I promise you your confidence will be light years ahead of where it is now – so much so that your entire life is likely to change.

Still not sure? Think of it this way.

If I gave you a bucket of water and a medicine dropper with red food dye and asked you to turn that bucket of water red, how long do you think it would take? It can be done of course, but it will take time, right?

The same is true of your confidence. It can be done but it will take time.

Persistence in reprogramming works like that – in time you will see benefits you never dreamed possible. You will brainwash yourself into believing you can do anything you tell yourself.

It’s not tricky – our brains work like this. Most of your current thoughts that have been imprinted on you over a lifetime by teachers, parents, friends, and other family members.

So, all you do is replace the negative thoughts plaguing your life with positive ones – thoughts that will empower and improve everything.

Fundamental 3 – Be Aware of Who Is Programming You.

As much as possible, associate and learn from people who are already where you want to be in life. Before I go too much further, understand that this doesn’t mean you should cut out any of your family and friends.

Rather, it means to find people in your life who have achieved what you want to achieve and follow their advice and guidelines.

Be aware of who you’re allowing to affect your thoughts.

If someone says to you “you can’t do that,” ignore their advice.

How do they know you can’t do something?

Because they have failed before?

Because you have failed before?

It shouldn’t matter because you are the only person who should program your thoughts. If someone else’s thoughts seep into your mind, use affirmations to weed them out so your positive thoughts are stronger than their negative thoughts.

Many of your thoughts are programmed by your parents, teachers, friends, and other acquaintances.

Some of these thoughts are bad – and what makes it harder is that those thoughts that are bad are not given to you with sinister intent. Your friends and family don’t want bad things for you.

Most of them are simply trying to protect you.

For example, your parents probably gave you a lot of financial advice in your youth. That’s a good start for sure. You had no job and no money and they had both, so they clearly have an edge in the experience department.

But, as you get older, you reach a point where your goals may outstrip what your parents have accomplished. If you want to become a millionaire, why would you ask your parents, who make a modest if efficient five figures a year, how to do so?

They can save and make wise decisions but they stay in one place and don’t push their boundaries – you need someone who can do those things and help you get more out of your life than you would otherwise.

It happens in every aspect of your life – from money to sports to music or education. The people you should learn from are those who have successfully achieved your same goals in the past

Fundamental 4 – Be Willing to Take Action with What You Learn.

Even when you don’t understand the entire process, be willing to take action.

No matter your goals, be willing to make lots of mistakes and keep learning from them at all times. Learning from your mistakes and developing a can do attitude is vital to great long term success.

Most people are afraid of failure and making mistakes so they don't take action. And they keep loading up on knowledge to the point of information overload.

The best way to tackle something as huge as making money online is simply to get started. Build a site. Record your mistakes.

Try again. Repeat the process over and over again until you find what works and then make your money. (this is how this blog lovefindsitsway.com was created)

You need to learn from those mistakes and most importantly of all, never, ever, give up. You’ll need a bit of blind faith to do this because, let’s face it; you may not always understand the process that goes into achieving your goals.

But, you need to get started. If you wait until you understand everything, you will never attain the experience and drive to succeed in the face of adversity

Dream Big And Take Fate in Your Hands.

In life, success doesn’t come to those who “deserve” it. It comes to those who go out and take fate and luck into their own hands and make their dreams a reality.

To illustrate this, I want to tell you about four types of people in the world. They are:

  1. Strugglers – People who have little to no self-belief, self-drive, nor developed skill sets in any areas.
  2. Dreamers – People with great self-belief, fanciful ideas, but no knowledge of how to make their dreams happen. They lack the “action taking” ability to make their dreams a reality.
  3. Realists – People with limited skills in certain areas. They limit their goals, dreams and aspirations to what they see their peers achieving and to what they see as realistic based on what others in society feel is achievable.
  4. Dream Achievers/Inspirational People – People who not only believe in themselves but take active steps to make their dreams a reality. They don’t just dream; they form plans for how to achieve their goals. They always question the notion that “you can’t do that” and they continually strive to improve themselves. They also tend to associate a lot with other likeminded people.

That’s all for this time, but make sure you’re ready because we’re just getting started. I look forward to helping you become a dream achiever and an inspiration to family and friends and the other people in your life.
